I've purchased a used MFWD 850 and ordered manuals through John Deere Publications. Is there any way to lubricate the front axel pivot pin on this thing? There are no grease fittings I can see, although the owners manual (which is for 850 and 950's) says to apply grease through the fittings. I've checked every reference I can find, and none show how to lubricate the MFWD 850 without fittings. Do I have to take out the pin and drop the axel to grease it?

briani have a 755 there are 2 grease zerks at the pivet shaft one to the front & one to the back. your must be broken of or they fell out. don't take your pin out unless your front axle has play in a front to back motion, then that is another story. remove your deck drive the front end on car ramps & look for holes that a zerk would fit in to. ....
